From October to December 2021, ComfortDelGro Rent-A-Car is looking urgently for private-hire drivers to convey clinically well patients for swab test at designated facilities. 

Participating drivers can expect an income of up to $5,000 plus enjoy $2,000 car rental rebate each month for the three-month initiative. Valid PDVL holders who do not have a rental vehicle are welcomed. Briefing on safety protocol and full personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.

ComfortDelGro Rent-A-Car is proud to have received the bizSAFE level 3 certification awarded by the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) council in April 2021.  bizSAFE is a nationally recognised capability building programme designed to help companies build workplace safety and health capabilities.

This certification means ComfortDelGro Rent-A-Car has been audited for Risk Management implementation by an external auditor, and it complies with the requirements in the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WHSA) and its subsidiary legislation.

Zig – ComfortDelGro’s two-month old mobility and lifestyle app – is teaming up with one of its Food and Beverage (F&B) merchants, Simply Peranakan, to give out 88 free meals to cabbies and private hire vehicle (PHV) drivers every day from 25 to 28 May 2021.

ComfortDelGro's car rental and leasing arm is expanding into the heavy vehicle class with the addition of five prime movers to its fleet.

The first two units -- a Volvo FM and an UD Quon - have already been delivered to ComfortDelGro Rent-A-Car (CRAC) while the remaining three - two units of Volvo FM and one unit of UD Quon - will be delivered by the end of the year. Depending on demand, more prime movers may be added to the rental in the future.

ComfortDelGro announced on 7 May it will pilot a new booking service called ComfortRIDE that allows passengers to book rides with fixed fares set based on demand at the time of booking.

The taxi operator said it will begin pilot testing ComfortRIDE on the existing ComfortDelGro Taxi Booking App on 15 May. The service will be available at first to a small group of passengers and may be extended to more passengers on a later date.
